From 06.09.2021, every accommodation provider is required to use a document reader for guest check-in — for both Hungarian and foreign nationals aged 14 and over. If a guest arrives without an ID document or refuses to present it, the accommodation provider is obliged to cancel the stay and refuse to hand over the keys. Please check before you travel that your documents are valid and with you. For Hungarian nationals, an ID card, driving licence or passport is accepted. From guests from the European Union, an ID card or passport is accepted. From guests arriving from third countries, only a passport is accepted for identification and document reading. This data is transmitted in encrypted form from the accommodation management software to the VIZA system (Guest Information Closed Database, https://vizainfo.hu/). For the reasons set out in law, the data can only be used for the retention period prescribed for accommodation providers.
Please follow the guesthouse rules so that everyone can enjoy an undisturbed and pleasant stay. We wish you a wonderful time at the Balatoni Est Guesthouse!
