Wesselényi Beach
Almádi's largest beach: sports courts, a water playground, cycle path, beach library and plenty of places to eat. Ideal for an active holiday.
Wesselényi Beach is Balatonalmádi's biggest and most versatile beach — if you're after an active holiday, this is the place. It was recently fully renovated and now offers beach volleyball and football courts, a water adventure park, kayak and pedalo rental, a beach library, a playground and plenty of food stands. There are changing rooms, showers, lockers and sun lounger rentals.
The beach lies next to road 71 and the railway line, about a 10-minute walk from the town centre. It's typically open from early May to early September, 8:30–19:00 (gates open until 22:00). Parking is free. From the Balatoni Est Guesthouse it is a 20-minute walk or a 7–8 minute bike ride. If you're travelling with children or as a young couple and want lots of activities in one place, this is the best choice in Almádi.
