Szent Erzsébet Park

A 10-hectare protected park along the shore, running from Wesselényi beach to the pier — Lombardy poplars, sculptures, promenades and a music pavilion.

Szent Erzsébet Park

Szent Erzsébet Park stretches along the shore in the heart of Balatonalmádi, a protected green space of 10 hectares. Planting began in the 1880s, and the characteristic white and black poplars, willows, rows of plane trees and bald cypresses all date from that period. You can walk through the park from Wesselényi beach all the way to the pier, passing the music pavilion, the Bridge of Sighs, the eternal flame and the Handshake Europe sculpture park along the way.

From the Balatoni Est Guesthouse, heading west, it is about 15–20 minutes to the eastern edge of the park, from where it's an easy stroll to the pier. Free, open all year, shady and full of cultural history. In summer, the Almádi Light Park installations come to life here in the evenings, so it's worth a second visit after dark.
