Öböl Piknik
Between Csopak and Balatonfüred, in a former cyclists' rest stop: seasonal cuisine and a large terrace right by the lakeside cycle path.
Öböl Piknik is not in Balatonalmádi but on the border of Csopak and Balatonfüred, at the entrance of the Kerekedi bay (Kerekedi utca 1, Balatonfüred). It was converted from a former cyclists' rest stop into a proper restaurant — which is why the blue-shuttered, vintage-style building has such a distinctive charm. The large terrace sits directly on the lakeside cycle route, and the kitchen turns out seasonal Hungarian dishes.
Opening hours are typically Thursday to Sunday, 12:00–21:00, closed Monday to Wednesday — but it's worth checking the website (obolpiknik.hu) beforehand, as they have had temporary closures in the past. From the Balatoni Est Guesthouse it's about a 20-minute drive along road 71 towards Balatonfüred. A great choice if you're looking for a relaxed lunch with a lake view, ideally combined with a bike ride.
