Kerekes Cellar
A family winery and garden restaurant on the slopes of Pinkóczi — home-style dishes with a modern touch, house wines and a quiet woodland terrace.
Kerekes Cellar is in the Pinkóczi district of Balatonalmádi, at Vödörvölgyi út 20, at the foot of the Remete forest. What started as a wine cellar in the 1980s has become a family-run garden restaurant and wine terrace. Its setting is one of its biggest draws: the terrace looks onto the wooded hillside, there's no road noise, and yet the lakeside cycle path is close by.
The kitchen serves “home-style cooking in a modern guise” — local flavours in a more contemporary presentation. The wine list revolves around the family's own vintages. It is regularly ranked among Almádi's best restaurants on Tripadvisor (4.5 stars). From the Balatoni Est Guesthouse it is about a 6–7 minute drive to the north-west. For a romantic dinner or a rustic evening of good food and wine, this is one of the best spots in town — book ahead for summer evenings.
