Jóbarátok Fish Grill
A classic fish grill on the Budatava shore, running for 30 years — fried catfish, carp, zander, fish soup and quick counter service.
Jóbarátok Fish Grill sits next to Budatava beach at Noszlopy Gáspár út 9. It's a family-run business of around 30 years, led by Ferenc Márkus and his team. They offer the classic Balaton fish-grill experience: fried carp, zander, trout and catfish, plus fish soup with offal, all ordered at the counter (they give you a buzzer that goes off when your food is ready). It's open all year, including outside the main season.
The renovated terrace is very pleasant, with a direct view of Lake Balaton and protection from the weather. From the Balatoni Est Guesthouse it is about a 5–7 minute walk — the closest hot food spot to the guesthouse. If you want quick, honest fried fish at a fair price, Jóbarátok is a reliable choice. There's a touch of nineties nostalgia to it — which we think is a bonus.
